The first thing that hits people when they land in India after spending some time abroad is how dirty the Indian Airports are (generally speaking). And the feeling persists as you get out of the airport and make your way into the city. I believe this is true for most cities, though there might be some welcome exceptions.

Given the size of the country and its population, it is no doubt a mammoth task to monitor cleanliness, but nevertheless, is it an impossible task ?
